In a powerful display of unity and outrage, students, doctors, and staff from Andhra Medical College (AMC) in Vizag joined forces with the Junior Doctors’ Association (JUDA) to protest against the increasing incidents of sexual violence targeting medical professionals across India. The protest, held on the campus grounds, saw a large turnout as the medical community demanded immediate action and justice for victims.
A Cry for Safety and Justice The protest was sparked by a series of recent incidents where female doctors were sexually assaulted while on duty, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced security measures within medical institutions.
