Introduction to the Enhanced Taycan Range
Porsche has announced an exciting expansion of its Taycan lineup, now featuring a total of 16 versions. With the introduction of the new GTS trim for both the standard sedan and the Sport Turismo body styles, the Taycan offers an impressive array of options, including all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations and power outputs ranging from 400 to 940 bhp.
New GTS Trim Highlights
The GTS, which stands for Gran Turismo Sport, represents a significant upgrade in performance and style. Both the sedan and Sport Turismo versions boast a power output of approximately 690 bhp, marking a substantial increase from previous models. They achieve 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds—0.4 seconds faster than earlier iterations. Additionally, the GTS models now have an impressive range of 628 km on the WLTP cycle.
Styling and Features of the GTS
Distinctive styling cues set the GTS apart, including blacked-out exterior details, unique bumper designs, and optional 21-inch RS Spyder wheels. Inside, the GTS features luxurious Race-Tex elements, adaptive sports seats, a heated GT-specific steering wheel, and the Sport Chrono package. Enhanced technology includes a standard Bose sound system and various GTS badging throughout the interior.

Entry-Level Taycan 4 with AWD
In a significant update, the entry-level Taycan 4 now offers an AWD option for the first time. Depending on the chosen battery pack, it delivers an over-boost output of either 400 bhp or 430 bhp. The Taycan 4 also boasts improved range—559 km for the performance battery and 643 km for the performance plus battery—making it a compelling option for buyers seeking both power and efficiency.
Technical Advancements
The latest Taycan models come equipped with advanced features, including a new rear-axle motor that outputs 107 bhp more than previous versions. This upgrade enhances performance, especially during charging, where the Taycan can charge at up to 320 kW at 800-volt DC charging stations. The recuperation capacity during deceleration has also increased to 400 kW, allowing for more efficient energy recovery.
Pricing and Availability
Pricing for the entry-level Taycan 4 starts at USD 105,295, which is approximately INR 88.87 lakh, reflecting a USD 4,000 increase over the rear-wheel-drive variant. The GTS sedan begins at USD 149,895 (about INR 1.27 crore), while the Sport Turismo variant is priced at USD 151,795 (around INR 1.28 crore). These new models are expected to be available in India when global sales commence next year.
