Kawasaki has officially unveiled the 2025 Z900, showcasing a refreshed design and a host of new features for this popular streetfighter motorcycle. The updated model is set to enhance both performance and rider experience, making it a noteworthy addition to Kawasaki’s lineup.

Performance Enhancements

The heart of the Z900 remains its 948 cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine, which continues to produce 123 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 98.6 Nm of peak torque at 7,700 rpm. However, the engine has undergone several tweaks, including new electronic throttle valves and revised cam profiles, resulting in improved low-end torque and a fuel economy increase of up to 16 percent. The bike is still paired with a six-speed gearbox, now enhanced with a bi-directional quick shifter for seamless gear changes.

Striking New Design

The 2025 Z900 boasts a modernized aesthetic, featuring a newly designed LED headlamp and a sleek taillamp. While the sculpted fuel tank, alloy wheels, and split seat design remain, the overall look has been significantly refreshed. Additionally, the motorcycle is equipped with a larger 5-inch TFT display that includes Bluetooth connectivity, providing riders with more functionality and ease of use.

Advanced Electronics

Kawasaki has equipped the 2025 Z900 with cutting-edge electronics, including a six-axis IMU that supports features like cornering management and advanced ABS. The motorcycle also includes electronic cruise control, throttle-by-wire, and switchable traction control with three modes. Riders can choose from three preset ride modes—Sport, Road, and Rain—as well as a custom ride mode, enhancing the motorcycle’s versatility for various conditions.

Suspension and Braking Upgrades

In terms of cycle parts, the Z900 features a 41 mm USD fork at the front and a rear monoshock, both of which are adjustable for preload and rebound. Braking is handled by dual 300 mm disc brakes with four-piston calipers at the front, complemented by a new 250 mm rear disc. For those opting for the SE variant, additional upgrades include fully adjustable front suspension, an Ohlins rear shock, and premium Brembo braking components.

Anticipated Launch in India

While the 2025 Z900 will initially hit markets in the US and Europe, an Indian launch is expected soon after. The current 2024 model is priced at ₹9.38 lakh (ex-showroom), and the new iteration is likely to command a higher price due to its enhancements.
