New Delhi, October 28, 2024: The highly anticipated rollout of Apple Intelligence is set to take place today, coinciding with the release of the iOS 18.1 upgrade. The launch is expected at 10:30 PM IST and will initially be available for select iPhone models, including the iPhone 15 Pro series and the iPhone 16 lineup.

What to Expect from Apple Intelligence
Introduced during WWDC 2024, Apple Intelligence aims to enhance user experience with several new AI-powered features. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming:

  • Writing Tools: The new writing assistant will proofread texts for spelling, grammar, word choice, and sentence structure. Users will also have options to rewrite content, adjusting the tone to Friendly, Professional, or Concise without altering the core message.

  • Enhanced Photos App: A feature called Memory Movie allows users to create personalized video memories simply by describing the event, such as “My cat in 2024.” The app will automatically select matching photos and background music, with options for further customization through Memory Mixes.

  • Clean-Up Tool: Similar to the Android’s Magic Eraser, Apple will introduce a Clean-Up tool enabling users to remove unwanted elements from photos without affecting the main subject, making editing simpler and more intuitive.

  • Revamped Siri UI: Apple is giving Siri a fresh look with a new user interface that enhances visibility across the screen. While some additional features will be rolled out later, the UI update is expected this month.

  • Priority Notifications: Apple Intelligence will analyze notifications, prioritizing the most important ones at the top. Longer notifications will be summarized, and the feature will work seamlessly with Focus Modes to reduce distractions.

Waiting for Broader Language Support
While the initial rollout will support Indian English, broader language options for Apple Intelligence in India are expected to be phased in throughout 2025. The new features, including updates to Siri and on-device AI tools, aim to enrich user experience with personalized and contextual options.

Apple’s strategy reflects its commitment to integrating advanced AI capabilities into everyday user interactions, promising an exciting new chapter for iPhone users.
