A New Era for the 911 Carrera T
Porsche has unveiled the latest generation of its iconic 911 Carrera T sports car, now available in a convertible format for the first time. The 2025 Carrera T follows closely on the heels of the refreshed GTS and GT3 models, reinforcing its position as a top contender in the 911 lineup.

Subtle Yet Stylish Updates
The new 992.2-generation Carrera T retains a familiar aesthetic, with exterior modifications primarily focused on streamlining the front design by eliminating the lower pair of lights. Inside, the cabin keeps its classic vibe but introduces an all-digital instrument cluster, replacing the analogue rev counter. Notably, a new open-pore walnut gear knob accompanies a shorter gear lever, controlling the exclusively offered six-speed manual transmission.

Performance Specs
Under the hood, the Carrera T features a 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine, delivering a slight increase in power to 290 kW (388 hp) and torque at 450 Nm (331 lbs-ft). Acceleration remains impressive, with both the coupe and convertible versions achieving 0-60 mph in 4.3 and 4.5 seconds, respectively. The top speed for the coupe is 183 mph, while the convertible reaches 182 mph.

Enhanced Features and Technology
Porsche has outfitted the Carrera T with rear-wheel steering as standard, previously an option in earlier models. The car also includes a sports exhaust system, rev-matching functionality, and the Sport Chrono Package, along with adaptive sports suspension lowered by 10 mm. Enhanced brake discs have grown by 20 mm, further emphasizing the model’s sporty character.

Lightweight Design Philosophy
Positioned as a purist’s choice, the Carrera T is the lightest variant in the 992.2 generation, weighing in at 3,316 lbs in coupe form. The lightweight, carbon-backed bucket seats contribute to this reduced weight, aligning with Porsche’s focus on delivering a dynamic driving experience.

Availability and Pricing
The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T is now available for order, with prices starting at $134,000 for the coupe and $147,300 for the convertible. As Porsche continues to evolve its legendary 911 series, the Carrera T stands out as a model that balances tradition with modern performance enhancements.
